No other SimCity fan has been more prolific at creating video tutorials than SimNation Guild member "Skye Storme". I've searched through his entire video library on Youtube and compiled links to every video that's available.

The best place to start is his Fast Track to $1 Million. It is how I start every game of Sim City. If you use his process, there is no excuse for going bankrupt at the beginning of a game.
If you watch only one series, make sure to view his 60 Second Tips. They're short and full of useful tips. His Segregation Series will blow your mind as to what's possible in Sim City. His Let's Play Series is more long form, where you can follow him as he builds a variety of different City types. Keep up to date by listening to The Skye Storme (not quite) Daily Podcasts where you can even find an interview with the BigTuna himself, Maxis balance designer Chris Schmidt. If you're the Storytelling type who likes to imagine what the people in your city are doing, watch the SimCity Storybook with SimCity Brian and Skyestorme.
